What is there to see and do on the site?

The Grotte Chauvet 2 Ardèche site is a complete venue in itself.
Allow at least half a day to visit the entire site.
The Grotte Chauvet 2 Ardèche is a replica of the decorated Chauvet cave. The guided tour takes 55 minutes. Please arrive on site at least 30 minutes before the scheduled visit time indicated on your ticket.
In addition to the cave you can also explore the prehistoric world at the Aurignacian Gallery. This discovery centre provides an insight into the daily life of the people who created the Chauvet masterpiece . Here you will find information about the environment and climate of the time, as well as further examples of their technical and esthetic skils. Set aside an hour to visit the gallery. It is recommended to visit the gallery before your guided tour of the cave.

- 10am : Arrival

- 11:30am : Guided tour of the Chauvet cave replica

- 2pm : ANIMAL show (every 20 minutes)
