Chauvet Cave is implementing new measures to protect its visitors and staff, an opportunity for the place to reinvent itself ! Discover the cave in a new light with our app ! A new experience of visiting Chauvet Cave 2 allows a discovery in complete safety using an immersive application allowing an independent tour of the Cave and the Gallery. o In compliance with health guidelines (avoid group and loan of equipment), the proposed visit system is based on a mobile application that allows you to wander independently. o The content of this new application for the cave has been entirely developed by our mediation service. o The application will be offered in 10 languages Sanitary measures: Reinforced sanitary protocols for optimal security of our visitors Chauvet Cave 2 – Ardèche has a recent infrastructure, maintained and up to standards. The visitor route is simple and one-way, it lends itself perfectly to current health measures. o Wearing a mask for visitors: it will be compulsory in closed infrastructures. All the staff will be equipped with masks. o Distancing: in order to limit crossings as much as possible, the visit circuit has been redesigned and a direction of traffic set up. Markings on the ground will allow visitors to be distanced. o Distributors of hydro-alcoholic gel will be made available at various locations on the site. The frequency may be increased depending on the number of visitors. o Limited visitor gauges: current gauges are recalculated taking into account distance measures. o Hygiene teams equipped with latest generation portable foggers destroying COVID-19 in 60 seconds. o Activities adapted to health requirements.
